Ok.... I rarely get political here, but I just can't stay quiet anymore. Quite frankly I don't know how the people of this country can stay quiet.....I mean, am I the only person who cares that Florida and Michigan's primaries have been tainted???....and will either be discounted or possibly a split of the delegate votes between Clinton and Obamma..... WTF???
As it stands now, the Democratic Party has disqualified the results in those two states because they violated party rules by holding primary elections early in the campaign season.
Has everyone already forgotten the 2000 election and all the ways it was fixed in Florida....From the hanging chads to registered black voters not allowed to vote because either they ran out of ballots and were turned away, or the ban on felon voters.
The company, ChoicePoint, gave Florida officials a list with the names of 8,000 ex-felons to "scrub" from their list of voters. But it turns out none on the list were guilty of felonies, only misdemeanors. The company acknowledged the error, and blamed it on the original source of the list -- the state of Texas.
Anyone seeing a pattern here?????????
I refuse to sit quietly as our elections get screwed with again....We haven't even gotten through the primaries without it OBVIOUSLY being Fucked with....
I don't understand why we as a nation are not protesting in the streets for an honest way of voting our leaders into power?????....Again I SCREAM....WTF!!!!!

POLICE BEATINGS IN PHILLY
Today on a local morning show I watched a video of 12 officers pulling people out of a car and beating the shit out of 3 suspects involved in a shooting. Then they interviewed Philadelphia's police commissioner and the mayor....While they did not condone their actions, and called it inappropriate behavior, they also used the excuse that there were high emotions running because of the shooting of a fellow officer a few days before....BTW there was no connection between the suspects in the car and the shooting of the officer.
I don't care what crime those men were accused of.....Let the courts take care of them...Not the police. Is this a glimpse into our very near future???
Again I say.......anyone seeing a pattern here??......WTF

Preach on my sista! I am with you 100% in this rage, as I'm sure most of America is. It bothers me that people aren't out protesting in the streets and rioting over this.. especially those of us who are pissed off in the actually states that are being tampered with.

I did read Rain's entry. Granted these men had just been involved
in a shooting. But I honestly
didn't see one of those suspects put up a fight or resist arrest. They were pulled out of the car, and brutally beaten.
What happend to cuffing and reading the rights...
What happend to due process?
I fear that if we as citizen's let this continue we will truly find ourselves living in a police state!

Sometimes I wish I was born 15 yrs earlier, so I could've been part of the protests in the late
60's early 70's...Where people were so enraged at our leaders choices that they took to the streets and stood up for what they believed in.

I am so with you guys! I feel the disgust as a Floridian and as a Democrat. Our Governor who is Republican is the one that moved the primary up. Do you not smell a booger in that? He did it on purpose in my opinion because he KNEW the Democractic National Committee would penalize us if they followed their own rules. Florida, in my opinion, has some major corruption going on here. Just like in the last two elections; Florida didn't count all the votes. My mother who uses an absentee ballot because she is homebound, never got hers. I called and made a stink and wound up having to literally drive it down to the main ballot place by five o'clock election day itself in order to have it count. When Lori registered as an Independent, there were no Democratic candidates on the ballot for her to choose from. (2000 election) Just Independent and Republican candidates. When she asked about this, they told her that when you register Independent that is all you get to choose from. Yet our understanding about registering as an Independent should be that you get ALL the choices. No one to this day has EVER acknowledged any of this as being correct. I've never seen it mentioned on the news even though I wrote to Lou Dobbs at CNN about it and everyone else I could think of. No explanation or anything. Yet the news anchors continue to encourage disgruntled Democratics to register as Independents to teach their party a lesson. WTF kind of bad advice is that?!! She wound up switching to Democrat. But, isn't there something wrong in all of that??!!
As for the police thing, I did see that yesterday on CNN and thought about what Rain said. Unfortunately there are two sides to being a police officer I think. One is that you are underpaid and overworked and the other is you do become biased. It is not okay to just pull people out and beat them because of emotions any more than it is okay for a doctor to kill or cause irreparable harm to a patient during a surgical procedure because he had a rough night. Just like it is not okay for a pharmacist to refuse to fill a birth control prescription because it goes against his or her religious beliefs. There should be rioting in our streets for a whole host of reasons in addition to all the ones sighted and I'm shocked that there hasn't been.
