Actually it's just a ride waaay up the street. We are having Easter dinner at my cousin Rich's. Usually it's at his mom's...but our group has expanded ....We all bring a side dish or dessert. This year I am bringing scalloped potatoes to go with the spiral ham....Mmmmm...I loooove Spiral ham......I always smuggle a plate home with me!
So every year rain or shine, we have our annual cut throat game of croquet for the adults.....And an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It's pretty funny watching us try to come up with creative hiding places..... And then the kids trying to get it out of us where the eggs are. Cause there is $$$ inside them....One year they made us hide them like 5 times....They were young, and thought they would get more money if we kept playing...
Scalloped Potatoes4 Potatoes peeled, and thinly sliced
1 c Grated pamesan cheese, reserve 1/4 c for top
1 med Onion thinly sliced
2 c Milk
2 TB Flour
2 TB Butter cut in pieces
1/4 c Bread crumbs
S & P to taste
In a shallow baking pan layer the potatoes, onions, parmesan, flour, butter, S&P. Heat milk to just take chill off. Do Not Boil... Pour over potatoes. Top with reserved cheese and bread crumbs and butter.
